Recently i had the pleasure of reading an article about self critiquing ones art by Susan Purney Marks. She included several articles which i found very helpful and will repeat below.
We often wish for feedback on a piece of art in order to improve it or just to confirm that we are on the right path. We can do much ourselves by using such techniqes as photographin the piece in different sizes, turning it around, standing back from it during painting, etc.
